Our story:

I thought about killing myself, but instead, I bought a guitar.

Rise Of Fire. What is fire. Chaos. Heat. Smoke. Beautiful. Dangerous. Life taking. Life giving. Force of nature. It cooks your hotdogs and keeps us warm. It’s Fire. We are Rise Of fire.

We are Firefighters. We are two chaotic individuals who refuse to be confined or put into a box. We are two PTSD ridden, ADHD laden men who love to help people out of a bind… who love to play music… who love the Lord… who love our families… who are willing to risk our lives to make a complete stranger’s day a little better, if we can. So, we decided to team up and convey a message of hope to those struggling through the same mess of life that we find ourselves in every day.

Our dream. That the Rise of Fire would be an explosion. Scraps of burning debris caught up in stories of the past, and dreams of the future, blasting right into your eardrums.

My name is Ryan. My friend’s name is Ryan. We have worked alongside one another for 10 years. But then one day, I actually met Ryan. It’s funny how you know people, but then life happens, and you ACTUALLY get to know someone. When our fellow Firefighter and close friend died of a sudden heart attack while celebrating his wedding anniversary, Ryan wrote a song for the grieving widow while stuck at the Fire Station.

Ryan, do you think I should play this song for his wife? Ryan, you play music? Ryan, you write songs? Yes. You should.

When the first time performing publicly in your life is on stage in front of hundreds and hundreds of people at the funeral of one of your dearest friends, it can move something. Life makes tears stream down all of our faces at one point or another. Men don’t cry. We cried.

Then… we came together. Then… we started to write songs. Then… we found something new. Passion… Rise of Fire.

Being a Firefighter can be a struggle. Being a human in the 21st century with everything moving so damn fast, can feel impossible. But music. Music has the ability to slow things down for a moment. It slowed us down. So… we play. And we find healing here. Along with laughter and hope and inspiration and PURPOSE.

Then we found the record button. And WE HIT IT. And we found new friends. And we found something that we are proud of to share with you.

We are two firefighters who have stories to tell. Rise of Fire is part of that story. Our outlet. So, PLUG ON IN. Plenty of room here to set this place on fire.

You want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.

I thought about killing myself too, but instead, I picked up my guitar.

Let’s play.
